Local experiences: wine, sobrasada and paella
If we talk about what to do in Mallorca, or in any corner of Spain, food plays a special role. In the Balearic Islands, the delights of Hispanic gastronomy are no exception, and we can try a series of delicious local products typical of the area.
Sobrasada is the most classic of all the Balearic Islands, each island having its own way of preparing it. But what is sobrassada? It is a sausage made from meat and spices that is eaten as a pate with bread. Today there are many types and it is used for all kinds of preparations, but it always maintains its artisan manufacture.
Wine is also essential on the Mallorcan table, as the island has around a hundred small family vineyards where they share their own production of exquisite whites and reds.
And paella, a Spanish classic par excellence recognized throughout the world, but which is queen on this island because it is, originally, its place. The Mallorcan paella has a lot of seafood and meat as ingredients, seasoned and cooked to perfection to have a real culinary experience that will make you lick your fingers!
